...In the northern waters of Aigaeon Pelagos in Greece , a fisherman called Argyrios Dimoudis, used to sail with his small boat in search of mussels and oysters. The year 1964 he started fishing them out of the water with the help of an iron triangle, armed with nails, which helped detach them from the bottom of the sea.

Behind this triangle the nets were attached to trap the mussels and oysters. After that, the catch of the day was brought to the harbor in order to find its way from the local fish market onto the consumers' plate, fresh from the sea.

By the year 1987 the first incubators were installed but mostly in order to store the mussels and oysters, keeping them alive and ready to be sold.

In the meantime Argyrios' sons, Vasilios and Georgios had already begun working in their fathers business. His brother Apostolos had started with his own too. But year 1988 held a nasty surprise for the fishermen.

In the summer the temperatures reached extremely high levels all around Greece.

This caused an enormous deprivation of oxygen in the sea suffocating and killing almost all of the mussel populations while the oysters became completely extinct from the area. This disaster created the need to become less depended on the sea for their catch.

The incubators were already there in the form of storage space in the sea and with very few from the mussels that were left, begun the systematic incubation and production of mussels. This is in a few words the history of the company, which, since then has become the most successful in its field in Greece handling 70% of the annual production.
